To display network adapter vendor names

1. Open Network Monitor.
2. If prompted, select the local network from which you want to capture data by default.
3. On the Options menu, click Show Vendor Names.

• When Show Vendor Names is active, Network Monitor replaces computer addresses with a twelve-byte code. The first six bytes of the code display the name of the vendor that produced the network adapter on the remote computer. The last six bytes are a host ID.
